Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Friday announced the expansion of the Business Blasters programme in all universities across Delhi within a month.
Atishi made the announcement at the convocation ceremony of Netaji Subhash University of Technology, where she handed over certificates to fresh graduates.
Business Blasters programme is a Delhi government initiative that began in 2019. Under this, 150 start-ups formed by students of classes 11 and 12 are provided seed money to implement their business ideas.
Addressing the students, Atishi said, “The convocation day is not only a time for students to reflect on their last four years but also to think about what they are going to do in the future.”
Claiming that the government school students have benefited from the Business Blasters programme and turned into job creators, she highlighted the importance of expansion of this programme to Delhi universities.
Calling the initiative a “resounding success”, Atishi shared inspiring stories of students from government schools who turned entrepreneurs.
