MNS workers storm BMC, stage protest over tender process for collection and transportation of solid waste in Mumbai

Mumbai: MNS workers stormed into the BMC’s solid waste management (Planning) office on Thursday, seeking details about the ongoing tender process for the collection and transportation of solid waste.

According to civic officials, former corporator Santosh Dhuri and MNS functionary Ketan Naik were among those present during the disruption. In a video that went viral, they are seen seeking more information regarding the tender submission process.

The protest follows a recent MNS press conference in which the party alleged that the tendering process was merely procedural, claiming that the contractor was already pre-selected. The party raised serious concerns over the transparency and fairness of the bidding.
