Hyderabad is set for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms until Saturday, with the IMD issuing a yellow alert across Telangana. Expect traffic disruptions, waterlogging, and strong winds in several districts.

Hyderabad is currently experiencing a heavy rainfall, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for five days in the entire Telangana. The Met Department predicted that the intense rain in Hyderabad will be accompanied by and thunderstorms until Saturday. Amid this, residents can expect heavy traffic jams and waterlogging in low-lying areas. The IMD advises people to stay indoors during heavy rain and to take all necessary safety measures.

The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre says heavy rain will fall in some parts of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and Sangareddy districts. Along with rain, thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds of 30–40 km/h are expected.
