The Bengaluru electricity supply company announced a planned power outage in the city on October 30 (Thursday), citing maintenance issues. The power outage will affect more than 100 areas for around five hours.The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) issued an advisory, urging people to cooperate during the outage hours.

During these hours, the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) will be carrying out urgent maintenance work. The BESCOM stressed that this work is required to ensure the electrical network remains safe and stable.

Bengaluru Power Cut: Advisory for Residents:
The Bengaluru electricity supply company has asked residents to cooperate and complete any essential electrical tasks before 11 am, advising them to charge essential devices, back up critical data, and plan for possible interruptions.
BESCOM stated that the maintenance will be done to prevent future breakdowns and enhance the overall reliability of the power supply in the city. Parts of Bengaluru have been facing power outages for two months now, with people dealing with eight to nine hours of power cut, especially on weekends. Since August, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (KPTCL) and Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) have been issuing notices for power outages in cities, citing routine servicing and infrastructure upgrades.
