Delhi Traffic Police has announced a series of traffic restrictions, diversions and parking arrangements in connection with the 20th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage, organised by the Ministry of Culture at Red Fort from 8 December to 13 December 2025. The measures aim to manage heavy footfall and increased vehicular movement on Netaji Subhash Marg and Nishad Raj Marg to ensure smooth traffic flow and pedestrian safety.
The advisory will remain in effect daily from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm during the event period.Complete traffic restrictions may be imposed on Netaji Subhash Marg and Nishad Raj Marg during peak event hours. Depending on crowd and vehicle movement, diversions may be enforced from the following key points:
Motorists travelling through Old Delhi, Red Fort surroundings and adjoining corridors should plan additional travel time.The police advisory urges visitors to follow basic safety and traffic protocols:Park only in authorised parking areas; avoid roadside or illegal parking.Pedestrians must use footpaths and designated crossings.Shoppers, visitors and customers should cooperate with traffic police and follow all on-ground instructions.
