Traffic diversions implemented in Moradabad on Shab-e-Barat: No entry for heavy vehicles on February 3-4, buses to ply from temporary stand

In Moradabad, traffic arrangements have been altered in view of the Shab-e-Barat festival on February 3 and 4. Due to congestion and security concerns, the traffic police have implemented a special diversion plan for buses and heavy vehicles.

Roadways and private buses coming from Delhi, Rampur, Sambhal, and Chandausi will be prohibited from entering the city. These buses will operate from temporary bus stands set up in front of the MDA office in TP Nagar and New Moradabad.

Heavy vehicles traveling from Kashipur and Rampur to Bijnor or Haridwar will not pass through the city. These vehicles will reach their destinations via the highway via the TMU underpass, Hakimpur Chowki, and Sherua intersection. The same route has been designated for heavy vehicles coming from Bijnor and Haridwar.

According to the traffic plan, heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering the city from 2 pm on February 3 to 4 am on February 4. During this period, cargo vehicles operating from the warehouse will also be prohibited.

Additionally, from 4 pm on February 3, only pedestrians and two-wheelers will be allowed to move towards Eidgah Road from Kohinoor Tiraha, Dassarai Police Chowki, Sambhal Chowraha and Galshaheed Chowraha.

Superintendent of Police Traffic, Subhash Chand Gangwar, stated that timings and routes may be changed if necessary. Police have appealed to citizens to cooperate by following the designated diversions.
