After a week of rising temperatures and heatwave, Pune is all set to witness rain and thunderstorms from today (April 19), with maximum temperature reaching 42 degrees Celsius, and minimum dropping to 26 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department has issued a “yellow alert” for the city, predicting lightning and thunderstorms in several areas.
The met department has put Pune on yellow alert for the next four days, highlighting the possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds.
The weather department issued a warning for Monday (April 20), stating, “Partly cloudy sky becoming generally cloudy sky towards afternoon, evening thunderstorm with lightning, light rain very likely.” Moreover, for the next four days, the city will be on yellow alert.After April 23 (Thursday), the weather is expected to change slightly with no rain; however, skies will remain cloudy during the afternoons and evenings.While Mumbaikars are also suffering from the increasing heat and humidity. On Saturday, Mumbai recorded a maximum temperature of 34.3 degrees Celsius, a degree higher than the previous day.
