Organizations have issued a public appeal regarding this on social media. The sarpanch of Masajog village was murdered, and the police have arrested three accused in this case. However, local organizations are demanding the arrest of the main mastermind behind the incident and strict action against them. In this context, the Beed district shutdown has been called. Meanwhile, the political atmosphere in the district has also heated up, with demands to transfer the investigation to a central agency.

The sarpanch of Masajog village in Kej taluka was abducted and murdered, leading to widespread repercussions. Villagers from Masajog, along with the victim’s family, staged a sit-in protest on the Ahmedpur-Ahmednagar National Highway for nearly 12 hours. The protest also took a violent turn. Meanwhile, the police have arrested three suspects, but there is a demand for the arrest of the main mastermind behind the incident. In response, a shutdown has been called in Beed district tomorrow.

Protests related to the reservation demands of various communities are ongoing, and the winter session is set to begin on December 16, 2024. In light of this, demonstrations and protests by various organizations to advocate for their demands are anticipated. To prevent any law-and-order issues arising from sudden incidents or minor disputes, prohibitory orders have been issued. These orders will be in effect in Beed district from 12:01 AM on December 13, 2024, to midnight on December 27, 2024, as stated in an official press release.
