Chennai Weather: Chennai is likely to see a wet and stormy weekend, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a heavy rain and thunderstorm alert for the city till November 11. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33°C, while the minimum will remain close to 26°C, maintaining warm and humid conditions. Despite the wet spell, no significant drop in temperature is predicted. The past 24-hour data recorded a maximum of 31.6°C and a minimum of 25.5°C, with no rainfall since the last observation.
From November 12 onwards, the IMD has forecast a generally cloudy sky with light rain, followed by clearer conditions and no weather warnings by November 13. The easing of rain will bring temporary relief to residents, especially after days of lightning and thundershowers.
