Chennai Rain Refuses to Ease Even as Cyclone Ditwah Weakens

 Even after the weeks of heavy rain, there is no immediate respite for the residents. Chennai is set to see more showers on Saturday (December 6), even as Cyclone Ditwah is weakening. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the city can expect moderate rainfall, along with occasional lightning and thunderstorms, through the day. It has issued a yellow alert for an intense shower. Residents are advised to plan their outside activities accordingly.

As per the latest forecast, Chennai’s maximum temperature is likely to reach around 29°C, while the minimum temperature may fall to nearly 24°C. Humidity levels are expected to remain high, and the weather may feel warm and damp between spells of rain.Residents are advised to plan their day, keeping in mind possible short bursts of heavier showers and cloudy skies throughout Saturday.

Humidity will remain high, but the weather will feel calmer compared to earlier in the week.9 December: Cloudy skies and light rain are expected throughout the day. Temperatures will hover close to 30°C, making the atmosphere warm and moist.
