Chennai Water Cut: Chennai residents in five zones and parts of Pallavaram Municipality will face water supply interruptions from 9 PM on January 22 to 9 PM on January 24 due to pipeline work by Chennai Metro Rail Limited. Chennai residents in five zones and parts of Pallavaram Municipality will experience a water supply interruption from 9 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2024, until 9 PM on Friday, January 24, 2024. This disruption is necessary for Chennai Metro Rail Limited to interconnect drinking water pipelines on Paul Wells Road in Alandur.
Affected areas include Teynampet, Kodambakkam, Valasaravakkam, Alandur and Adyar in Chennai, as well as Pozhichalur and Cowl Bazaar in Pallavaram Municipality.
The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has advised residents to store water in advance and consider booking water tankers through their online service. For further assistance, residents can contact the helpline at 044-45674567. Despite the disruption, the CMWSSB will maintain street supply in these areas.
