Days after Chennai witnessed heavy rains with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing alerts for the city, the met department has removed the alert for Tuesday (December 9), however, rains are still on the cards.
According to the Met Department’s forecast, the maximum temperature is likely to remain 30 degrees Celsius, with the minimum dropping to 24 degrees Celsius.However, the IMD has removed the alert for tomorrow, but heavy to moderate rain is expected in the city.
The Met Department has issued a wind advisory for the North Coastal Tamil Nadu region. Squally winds with speeds ranging between 35–45 kmph, and gusting up to 55 kmph, are likely tomorrow.Moreover, fishermen have been strictly advised not to venture into the sea during this period for safety reasons.
