The plant is expected to begin functioning within 15 days after initial testing. With this new addition, the total treatment capacity at Chandu Budhera will increase from 260MLD to 370MLD. GMDA also operates another treatment facility at Basai, which processes 300MLD of water. Overall, Gurugram’s total water treatment capacity will rise to 670MLD, significantly improving supply in tail-end areas and meeting peak summer demand.
