High Alert Day in Hyderabad Today: A large number of Hanuman Vijaya Yatras today, with over 190 processions expected across different parts of the city. Hyderabad: In view of Sri Hanuman Jayanti Processions and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings at the Uppal stadium on Saturday, the Hyderabad police have deployed massive security. According to a report by The Hindu, Hyderabad is set to witness a high-alert day on Saturday. Around 17,000 police personnel are expected to be deployed across the city to prevent any unfortunate incidents. Major traffic restrictions have also been put in place to assist commuters.

All the wine shops and bars — except the one operating in Star Hotels and Registered Clubs — will remain closed on Saturday, April 10, during the Hanuman Jayanti Celebrations. The restriction will be in place from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, said the Cyberabad Police on Friday. It has issued an official notification, ordering the mentioned shops and bars to follow the instruction or else they would attract a penalty. In interest of public peace and tranquility that the Wine/Toddy Shops and Bars (Excluding Bars in Star Hotels and Registered Clubs) within the jurisdiction of Cyberabad shall remain closed on 12.04.2025 from 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM on account of “Sri Hanuman Jayanthi Celebrations,” said the police. I have ordered that, in interest of public peace and tranquility that the Wine/Toddy Shops and Bars attached to Restaurants (Excluding Bars in Star Hotels and Registered Clubs) within the jurisdiction of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, shall remain closed on 12.04.2025 between 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM on account of “Sri Hanuman Jayanthi Celebrations”-2025,” read the official notification.
