The sessions judge in Jind received a bomb threat via email, warning that the court premises would be blown up. The email mentioned that an “IED was planted,” and also threatened to send fidayeen attackers. As soon as the information was received, the police administration swung into action and launched an intensive search operation across the entire court complex. The email claimed that an IED was concealed inside the court premises, and added that if the target was missed, fidayeen attackers would be sent to carry out the attack. Jind Bar Association president Vikas Lohan said that the threatening message was received in the morning on the official email ID of the Jind sessions judge.
Immediately after receiving the email, the matter was reported to the police administration. Upon receiving the information, police teams, along with a dog squad, reached the spot. A thorough search operation was conducted throughout the court complex. However, even after hours of checking, no suspicious object or explosive material was found. Jind SP Kuldeep Singh stated that the sessions judge received an email from a Hotmail account in the morning. “A police teams were deployed at the spot and the entire area was sanitised. The links of the email may be connected to Tamil Nadu, though the matter is still under investigation. At present, no suspicious activity was found,” Singh said. Earlier, Bhiwani and Fatehabad courts had also received such bomb threats
