IndiGo Flight Status LIVE: Have IndiGo return back to normalcy? Track real-time updates on flight delays and cancellations across major airports, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Get the latest information on disruptions and airline responses.
Today marks the ninth consecutive day of disruptions for IndiGo flights. Despite CEO Pieter Elbers’ assurance that operations had stabilised, nearly 220 flights were cancelled on Wednesday across Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. IndiGo cancelled 61 flights from Bengaluru, including 35 arrivals and 26 departures. There are also reports of SpiceJet adding up to 100 additional flights during the winter schedule. This development came as the government asked IndiGo to cut 10% of its flight routes.
Furthermore, Delhi High Court heard a plea filed regarding the ongoing crisis on Wednesday. The court raised concerns over the Centre’s delayed action. It also blamed the government for taking action only after the mass cancellations had begun.
According to IndiGo CEO, Elbers, lakhs of customers have been given full refunds. But he did not provide exact figures or say anything about compensation for people whose flights were cancelled, changed without their approval, or delayed for long hours.
According to the Civil Aviation Ministry’s passenger charter, airlines must give compensation automatically in some situations. Passengers are not required to apply for it. Many people say airlines often do not follow this rule properly.
