The Pune city and Pimpri Chinchwad traffic police on Wednesday notified road closures and traffic diversions that will be in place on Friday for Stage 4 of the Pune Grand Tour 2026. The route of this last leg will begin from the Balewadi Stadium and traverse key roads in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad before concluding at Balgandharva Rang Mandir.
Traffic changes for Pune city:
Traffic from Radha Chowk to Punam Bakery will be closed. Vehicles will be diverted via Saykar Chowk or Sutarwadi underpass. Traffic from Punam Bakery to Vidyapeeth Chowk will be stopped and will be diverted via Sutarwadi Road. Traffic from Pashan Circle to Pune University Chowk will be diverted via Baner Road. Traffic from Pune Vidyapeeth Chowk to Rajiv Gandhi Bridge will be diverted via Bremen Chowk, Spicer College, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk and Range Hills.
Traffic from Rajiv Gandhi Bridge to SB Junction will be diverted to Bremen Chowk, Spicer College, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk and Range Hills. Traffic on SB Junction to Patrakar Nagar will be diverted via Ganesh Khind Road. Traffic from Patrkanar Nagar to Shelar Mama Chowk will be diverted via Bhandarkar Road and BMCC Road. Traffic from Vanaz to Nal Stop will be diverted via Rambag Colony. Traffic from Nal Stop Chowk to Mhatre Bridge to Senadatt Chowky will be diverted via Law College Road and DP Road.
Traffic from Rashtrabhushan Chowk to NS Phadke Chowk will be diverted via Jedhe Chowk, Seven Loves Chowk and Golibar Maidan. Traffic from Savarkar Chowk to Maharashtra Mandal Chowk will be diverted via Marketyard Road and Gangadham Chowk. Traffic from Arjun Road to Ghorpadi Junction will be diverted via Prince of Wales Road and Empress Garden. Traffic from Lal Mahal Chowk to SG Barve Chowk will be diverted via Kumbharwada Road, Kelkar Road and Riverside Road. Traffic from Narveer Tanaji Wadi to Garware Junction will be diverted via Old Pune Mumbai Highway, Ganesh Khind Road and Range Hills Road. Traffic in Balgandharva area will be diverted via Riverside Road, Apte Road and Congress Bhavan Road.
Traffic Changes for Pimpri Chinchwad Police jurisdiction:
Main road closures and traffic diversions will be enforced in Bavdhan, Sangvi, Wakad, Nigdi, Pimpri and Chikhli traffic divisions. Traffic from Nande Mahalunge to Radha Chowk will be diverted via PICT School. Buntara Bhavan Service Road to Radha Chowk traffic will be diverted via Dnyati Showroom.
Traffic from Aundh D Mart to Dhore Patil Road will be diverted via Nagras Road. Traffic from Takle Chowk to Rakshak Chowk will be diverted via New DP Road. Traffic from Jagtap Dairy Chowk to Kaspate Chowk will be diverted via underpass. Traffic from Pachpir Chowk to MM Chowk will be diverted via Nadhe Chowk. Traffic from Dilip Vengsarkar Academy Chowk to Tapkir Chowk will be diverted via Thergaon and Dange Chowk.
