Why Traffic Restrictions Are Being Imposed:
The advisory has been issued to prevent danger, obstruction and inconvenience to the public during the Republic Day parade and the movement of parade contingents. Mumbai Police said traffic curbs are necessary to ensure smooth conduct of the event and safe movement of participants and spectators. Motorists have been advised to avoid the affected stretches during the restricted hours and follow directions given by traffic police on duty.
Mumbai Republic Day: Roads Closed and One-Way Routes in Dadar:
The following roads will remain closed or partially restricted for vehicular movement between 6:00 am and 12:00 noon on January 26:
N.C. Kelkar Road and Keluskar Road from L. J. Road Junction (Gadkari Junction) up to the South and North junctions will be closed
Keluskar Road South will function as a one-way road for east-bound traffic
Traffic from Swatantra Veer Savarkar Road will be allowed via Keluskar Road South
Right turn at Meenatai Thackeray statue on Keluskar Road North will be one-way towards the west
S. K. Bole Road will be one-way from Siddhivinayak Junction to Portuguese Church
Swatantra Veer Savarkar Road will be closed from Siddhivinayak Junction to Yes Bank
