‘Orange’ warning in Delhi due to dense fog, trains, flights delayed; IMD predicts rain, temperature dip seen.

Delhi experienced significant train delays on Tuesday due to dense fog, with 26 trains late on Wednesday morning. The IMD forecasts heavy fog and potential rainfall, while air quality remains poor, recording an AQI of 275 amidst cold wave conditions.

Delhi woke up to a thick layer of dense fog today as Northern India continued to remain in the grip of the cold wave. The India Meteorological Department issued an ‘Orange’ warning for Wednesday due to ‘dense to very dense fog’.

According to an Indian Railways update at 6 a.m. today, around twenty-six trains to Delhi were running late due to poor visibility.

Delhi fog may also impact flight operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The India Meteorological Department has predicted fog in several areas of Delhi-NCR and mild showers in some parts of the national capital in the evening. Rainfall may further reduce the temperature in Delhi-NCR areas.
