Traffic diversions are active around Keesaragutta temple in Hyderabad for Maha Shivaratri celebrations from February 13-18, 2026, to manage heavy pilgrim crowds expected to peak on February 15-16.

Key Diversions

Heavy vehicles face restrictions on temple routes.

From Bogaram: Divert at Vanneguda X Road to ORR via Keesara Dayara, then Ghatkesar/Shamirpet

From ORR/Cheryal X Road: Divert to Ghatkesar or Shamirpet via ORR/service roads

From Uddemarri/Bommalaramaram: Divert at Rangapuram Chowrasta via alternate roads.

From Shamirpet: Divert at Yadgaripalli to Ghatkesar/ORR or Cheryala to ECIL.

Malkajgiri Traffic Police provides parking (20m to 500m from temple) with shuttle services from farther lots. TGSRTC runs 326 special buses to Keesaragutta among 2,243 total for 43 temples statewide. Plan ahead and follow police directions to avoid congestion
