West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026: 9 Parivartan Rath Yatras Planned Ahead of Polls

With the West Bengal Assembly elections approaching, organisers have announced plans to launch nine Parivartan Rath Yatras (change processions) from different parts of the state.

The first phase of the procession will start on March 1 from locations including Cooch Behar South, Krishnanagar South, Garhbeta, Raydighi, and Kulti.

A second set of processions will begin on March 2 from Islampur, Sandeshkhali, Hassan, and Amta.

There will be no processions on March 3 and 4 to observe the Holi festival. The campaign activities are slated to resume on March 5.

Between March 5 and March 10, the plan is to cover routes spanning over 5,000 kilometres, touching every assembly constituency in the state.

The programme includes 60 major public meetings and more than 300 smaller gatherings along the route.

A high-profile rally concluding the processions is expected to be held at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata, where the prime minister is anticipated to address attendees.
