Clashes broke out between rival groups of Youth Congress workers here on Monday over disciplinary action initiated against several office-bearers, sources in the Congress party said.
Supporters of Karnataka Youth Congress president Manjunath Gowda and state vice-president Deepika Reddy were involved in a heated altercation during a state executive meeting convened at the party office here to discuss a protest over the alleged NEET examination paper leak.
The confrontation reportedly escalated into pushing after some office-bearers, who had recently been “put on hold” for allegedly skipping meetings and protests, demanded an opportunity to raise the issue during the meeting
