Delhi Traffic Alert! Key Ashram Chowk-Ring Road Stretch Closed for 4 Days – Check Diversions

The Delhi Traffic Police has declared significant road closures on the Ring Road between Maharani Bagh and Ashram Chowk starting at 10 PM on June 15 for about four days. This is necessary for urgent repairs to a crucial 1,200-mm pipeline managed by the Delhi Jal Board.

The Delhi Traffic Police has announced major traffic diversions and road closures on the Ring Road carriageway between Maharani Bagh and Ashram Chowk, stressing that the stretch will be closed from 10 PM on June 15 for approximately four days. This closure has been announced to facilitate emergency repairs to a damaged 1,200-mm-diameter pipeline belonging to the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) near Ashram Chowk.Commuters are advised to expect considerable traffic delays, particularly on the DND Flyway and surrounding areas.

To mitigate the impact of this closure, the Delhi Traffic Police has outlined several alternate routes for motorists. Commuters traveling from Sarai Kale Khan, ITO, DND Noida, and Mayur Vihar towards Faridabad should utilise the Ashram Flyover, making a left turn onto Captain Gaur Marg and proceeding via Okhla Mandi Road, Modi Mill Flyover, and Mathura Road.

Additionally, vehicles approaching from the DND Flyway towards Ashram are advised to use the Barapullah Elevated Corridor or the Ashram Flyover as alternatives. Traffic from CV Raman Marg towards the Ring Road has been redirected to Mata Mandir Marg and Mathura Road.

The traffic police have strongly urged commuters to avoid the Ashram Chowk area during the repair period. They recommend utilising public transport and navigation applications for real-time updates.
