Mumbai Traffic Police has announced restrictions around ISKCON Juhu during Gokulashtami celebrations on September 3 and 4. Several roads will have no-parking rules, diversions and no-entry restrictions to manage expected crowds. The Santacruz Traffic Division said arrangements are aimed at ensuring smooth movement and public safety, with motorists advised to use alternate routes.
The Mumbai Traffic Police’s Western Suburbs Division has announced traffic restrictions and diversions around the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Mandir (ISKCON), Juhu, in view of the Gokulashtami celebrations on September 3 and 4.
A large number of devotees are expected to visit the temple during the festival. To ensure smooth traffic movement and public safety, the following arrangements will be implemented under the jurisdiction of the Santacruz Traffic Division.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, parking for all types of vehicles is entirely prohibited on major stretches including Janardhan Mhatre Road, Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg, Juhu Church Road, Gandhi Gram Road, Alfred Criedo Road, Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg, Shyamrao Parulekar Marg (N.S. Road No. 13), Balraj Sahani Road, A.B. Nair Road, and Devle Road (Military Road). Motorists are advised to plan their trips in advance and utilize alternative routes to prevent congestion during the festive events.
In addition to parking bans, several key road segments face strict entry restrictions and directional changes. North-to-south travel from Chandok Chowk to Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg is closed to general traffic, granting access exclusively to emergency services, VVIPs, temple vehicles, and local residents. Furthermore, south-to-north traffic from Alfred Criedo Road to Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg is restricted, Shyamrao Parulekar Marg to Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg is completely closed, and vehicles cannot travel west towards Military Road at the Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg–Devle Road Junction. To streamline movement, the stretch between Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg and Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg will temporarily function as a one-way road, with traffic authorities urging full public cooperation with on-duty personnel.
